Please excuse our
website while we upgrade it and update it.
Upgrading - The
process of extending the usefulness or useful life of a device.
Some older computers can be upgraded
or updated in different ways to
drastically reduce the $$$
cost
$$$
normally associated with replacing the computer entirely.
Some upgrading is a relatively simple process to do
by yourself. In
others it can be a
daunting experience to upgrade your computer system if you
don't know what it is you need to look for or/at inside your computer. If you
know the basics
of what to look for in your computer and find out what it is
capable of, or
if that computer component can be upgraded (i.e. memory, video card, CD, DVD, monitor,
MotherBoard, sound card, Operating System or hard drive).
The major questions are:
Do you need and want all of your
settings, documents and programs from your present computer on your new system
or do you want to payout more of your $$$$
Money
$$$ for what you already posses?
Do you just want to put the
most stable operating system you can get and quit seeing that
Blue
screen of death and or having those pesky out of memory messages
appear?
How can you be told honestly whether
or not your computer system is to old to update or upgrade? In other words how
do I avoid being told to buy and then sold the latest and greatest computer
system for "much more than I want to spend" or have the money to buy?
Do
you want to hand over your hard earned money for a completely new
system
or would you rather spend much $$$
less $$$ on increasing the capabilities of your
current
base system you have already by one of several methods:

Of note: Upgrading to
any version of Windows Vista may not be feasible.
One example of this is
using the Vista upgrade advisor on one of my personal systems which was not very
old (a 3.5Ghz system with a 256MB XL800 All-In-Wonder video graphics and TV card
2GB Memory SATA HDs). All was supposedly good met all requirements no indication
that hardware was incompatible - tried to install Windows Vista Business and it
was going good then hung up and would not install. Come to find out it was the
MainBoard or Motherboard was incompatible with Vista and the manufacturer even
confirmed that this motherboard was incompatible and they were not going to make
it compatible either. This was not a low end product either! The manufacturer is
now off my list of suppliers since this motherboard was only just over a year
old at the time!
